Boris Andrianov

 

Born in 1976 in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (class of Professor Natalia Shakhovskaya) and the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin (class of Professor David Geringas). He is a winner of the International Antonio Janigro Cello Competition in Zagreb, the 1st International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians, International Competition in Johannesburg (South Africa), 1st Shostakovich International Competition, Classiсa Nova in Hannover (Germany), 6th International Rostropovich Competition in Paris, Tchaikovsky International Competition and 1st Isang Yun Competition (South Korea). Winner of the Triumph Youth Prize.

 

Boris Andrianov has a wide concert repertoire, performs with the leading orchestras on the world’s most prestigious stages; collaborates with famous conductors, including Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Fedoseev, Yuri Simonov, Pavel Kogan, Krzysztof Penderecki, Gianandrea Noseda, Dmitry Liss, Roman Kofman, etc. Among his chamber ensemble partners are Yuri Bashmet, Menahem Pressler, Akiko Suwanai, Janine Jansen, Julian Rachlin, Itamar Golan. He participated in the Swiss King’s Festival, festivals in Ludwigsburg (Germany), Cervo (Italy), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Davos (Switzerland), etc. Permanent participant of the Moscow Chamber Music Festival “Vozvraschenie”.aris, Tchaikovsky International Competition and 1st Isang Yun Competition (South Korea). Winner of the Triumph Youth Prize.

 

The musician is the founder and director of the all-Russian project “Star Generation” that received the Government of Russia Award in the field of culture. He recorded a CD together with Dmitri Illarionov (guitar) released by Delos and included in a preliminary list for Grammy Music Awards in the “Chamber Ensemble” nomination. CD with sonatas of Dmitri Shostakovich and Sergei Rachmaninov recorded with Rem Urasin (piano) received Editor's Choice award in Gramophone magazine.Germany), Cervo (Italy), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Davos (Switzerland), etc. Permanent participant of the Moscow Chamber Music Festival “Vozvraschenie”. aris, Tchaikovsky International Competition and 1st Isang Yun Competition (South Korea). Winner of the Triumph Youth Prize.

 

Since 2009, he has taught in the Moscow Conservatory. Soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic Society. Plays a Domenico Montagnana instrument from the State Collection of Unique Musical Instruments. Creator and Artistic Director of the Moscow Cello Festival VIVACELLO.
