Timothy Park

 

Born in New York, Timothy Park studied in the Juilliard School (class of Jerome Carrington and Fred Sherry) and Yale University in the US (class of Aldo Parisot), then in the Lübeck Academy of Music and the Berlin Hanns Eisler Academy of Music (class of Professor David Geringas). Participated in the masterclasses of Boris Pergamenschikov, Josef Feigelson, Steven Isserlis, Arto Noras, Janos Starker, Daniel Barenboim.

 

A winner of several international and national competitions, a laureate of various awards, Timothy Park keeps an active concert schedule, performing in Europe, Asia and the US. He performs as a soloist and collaborates with the world’s most renowned orchestras, including the New York Chamber Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Venezuela Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, etc. He regularly participates in the festivals in Prades (Pablo Casals Festival), Schleswig-Holstein, Ruhr, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Lucerne, Santander, Aspen, Kronberg, Jerusalem. He also participated in the Moscow Chamber Music Festival “Vozvraschenie” and the cycle of concerts “Vozvraschenie. Portraits” in the Moscow International House of Music.

 

Timothy Park is a participant of the Erlenbusch String Quartet based in Berlin and an artist of the Berlin Staatskapelle orchestra. Among his chamber ensemble partners are Elena Bashkirova, Levon Chilingirian, Alessio Bax, Vladimir Mendelssohn, Zakhar Bron, Frans Helmerson, Gary Hoffman, Tamaki Kawakubo, Nikolaj Znaider, Michael Barenboim, Emmanuel Pahud, Bruno Schneider, etc.cipates in the festivals in Prades (Pablo Casals Festival), Schleswig-Holstein, Ruhr, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Lucerne, Santander, Aspen, Kronberg, Jerusalem. The artist also dedicates his time to various educational and charitable programs in Korea, Japan, Venezuela and the US. Timothy Park plays a cello made by the Naples master Gennaro Gagliano (1740).
